Hello,

Did you find a resolution to the problem of using a print template on a
PC other than the PC where the template was created? I find this to be
a problem if the template has an image. I can fix it by going into
i-reports on the individual PC and correcting the filename but I was
hoping it wouldn't be necessary for all of our workstations to use
i-reports.

Thanks.

When you encounter the error message, are there any clues in the
iiirunner.exe window? We encounter that "rendered but could not be
printed" message when the template can't make sense of something that is
trying to print. There is typically a visible error message in the
iiirunner.exe window that gives us a clue as to why the print job
failed.

We also encountered initial frustrations due to the name of the local
printer that the template printer was configured for. In our case, a
few of our workstations were sending the print job to a local printer,
where the printer name contained "&" which caused the printing to fail.
This was only occurring at PC's where the local printer had that
character in the printer name. As soon as we renamed the local
printer, the printing was successful.

Good luck!

Subject: [IUG] Using Print Templates

Has any library faced this situation:

We can not use Circulation hold slips print template on computers other
than the once we used to design the templates on. The Circulation
supervisor has designed some templates on her staff computer in her
office and re-export them to the system. When try to use any other
computer outside of her office, system gives this message:
The document was rendered but it could not be printed.
I did the same on my office computer, to face same issue!
