Hi Margaret,

If I understand you correctly, you should be able to add the diacritics for the sort browse wwwoption in ASAA using the Character map. See the manual page #105473.

Can anyone figure out why the following anomaly occurs when searching
our Spanish Opac (not yet linkable to the public, but accessible through
this url: http://alicat.austincc.edu/search*spi
<http://alicat.austincc.edu/search*spi>).

Our web option reads:

SORT_BROWSE_spi=t:T&iacute;tulo|a:Autor|c:A&ntilde;o|r:A&ntilde;o
(Inverso)|n:Signatura|m:Tipo de Material

This works fine on the srchhelp_whatever pages. Try a title search.
However, on the browse screens, the dropbox text is literal and does not
render into the correct Spanish.
