I meant "its," not "it's." I know the difference, but I typoed.

We've noticed recently, and I have a call open with Innovative about
this, that sometimes if you do a search that does get results (e.g. in
our case "Ethan and Joel Coen," which brings up 40 results) the spell
check will make a suggestion that gets zero results. This seems to me
to be exactly the reverse of what the product is supposed to do.

It clearly does not check to see whether it's suggestions will bring up
results before giving them.

It's not as good as, say, Google's "did you mean" functionality, but
it's an improvement by and large over nothing at all.

We are considering buying spell-check for our opac. Does your library
have spell-check? Do you think it has helped improve your patrons'
search success?

Thank you!
