We were never able to get our SCAT table to work, either, for various
reasons. Innovative now offers a service where they will do the work to
set up the table and show you how to run the reports for the information
you want. It does cost money (I don't remember how much and I'm sure it
varies on size of database, how you want your table set up, and the
reports you want to be able to create.) It was worth the cost to be able
to get that information out of the system finally. And I could stop
pulling my hair out, getting headaches, and cringing every time someone
mentioned SCAT.

Subject: [IUG] GCPL: SCAT table help

We here at Greene County Public Library (OH) have had III Millenium for
about five years, but have never been able to get the SCAT tables set up
correctly. The staff who were here when we migrated to III have moved
on to other ventures, and we do not have anyone with knowledge of how to
set up the SCAT table. We use the Dewey Decimal system, and we have
some idea that the incorrect setup might have something to do with that.
Are there any libraries out there that use Dewey and have their SCAT
tables set up correctly? Could you email me
(tkreke at gcpl dot lib dot oh dot us<mailto:tkreke at gcpl dot lib dot oh dot us>) if you would be
willing to offer some assistance to a poor Adult Services Coordinator
who would desperately like to be able to generate statistics? Thanks to
my coworker for posting this plea to the listserv for me.
