Greetings! We just upgraded our webpac to release 2007. Since then I've been struggling with the loss of scoping, and need your help!
Here are the problems:
Problem 1, scoping is not recognized by the system, our periodical scope's value is 1, but the following url is not taking effect ( results are pulled from the whole collection instead of the periodicals' scope.)
http://obis.oberlin.edu/search~/?searchscope=1&searchtype=t&searcharg=china&SORT=D

Problem 2, I've created opacmenu_s1.html for the first scope, however it can't be mapped to /search~S1
Problem 3, In the bib_display.html, we use the token <!--{searchtool}--> , however on browse and bib display page, we are missing the drop down menu for the scope ( e.g. http://obis.oberlin.edu/record=b2338561~S0) .

All in all, something must have gone wrong with our scoping. The response from the helpdesk was to refer to the proper coding in the user manual, however, I've read the relevant section and tried many ways to fix the problem including using the standard 2007 example package on our staging, but I am still unable to make the basic scoped search work properly. As a newbie to III's web opac , I'd really appreciate your opinions and diagnosis.

Thanks!

Xi
