Donna,

I would guess this has nothing to do with the order of your search
statements. Is it possible between the time you ran your first search
and the time you ran your second that 7 more orders were given current
received dates?

Instead of using "greater than or equal to", try using the "between"
operator with your dates to specify both a start and end date. For
example:

ORDER Recv Date between 07/01/2007 & 06/30/2008

Hi there,

I seem to recall that someone asked a similar question not too long ago
but I can find neither it nor any of the responses. Why does the order
of search parameters affect the number of hits for a query? See example
below:

Query #1
Store record type: order
Type = ORDER Field = Order Type Condition = equal to Value A = f
AND
Type = ORDER Field = Recv Date Condition = greater than or equal to
Value A = 07-01-2007
Number of hits: 1257

Query #2
Store record type: order
Type = ORDER Field = Recv Date Condition = greater than or equal to
Value A = 07-01-2007
AND
Type = ORDER Field = Order Type Condition = equal to Value A = F
Number of hits: 1264
