Subject: [IUG] Persistent record link format

Since upgrading to 2007, our persistent record links now include scope
designation (i.e. http://library.metmuseum.org/record=b1659847~S3
<http://library.metmuseum.org/record=b1659847~S3> ). Looks like other
libraries are having the same issue
(http://wsuol2.wright.edu/record=b2592553~S7
<http://wsuol2.wright.edu/record=b2592553~S7> ).

This doesn't seem to make much sense.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
