Andrew and Mark - Thanks for your feedback. I did a search in the
archives before I posted my query, but I think I used the term
icon_recordlink and no results. Anyway, at least I know I'm not
misinterpreting the directions on CS Direct.
I think I'm going to make it...
<div class="bibRecordLink">To link to this page directly, use <strong><a
id="recordnum">
http://innopac.fauquiercounty.gov%s</strong></div>
I don't know if people understand when they click on it when it's a
hyperlink that they're supposed to look up in the URL address bar and
see that it's changed, so hopefully this is intuitive.
Andrew, can you shoot me your javascript? Where is it on the page? I
looked at
http://auroralibrary.org/screens/wwwoptions, but the
icon_recordlink is commented out.
Thanks,
Alison

This came up a while back. Check
http://innovativeusers.org/list/archives/2007/msg04231.html
and CSDirect Known Issues, keyword "recordlink"
We use a little javascript to get around this, and I know other
libraries do as well.

Hi Alison:
We've displayed the record link:
Persistent link to this record:
http://maurice.bgsu.edu/record=b2869258~S0
as displayed on this url:
http://maurice.bgsu.edu/search~S0?/X(harry%20potter)&SORT=D/X(harry%20po
tter)&SORT=D&SUBKEY=(harry%20potter)/1%2C112%2C112%2CB/frameset&FF=X(har
ry%20potter)&SORT=D&2%2C2%2C
If this is similar to what you'd like, our wwwoption is:
ICON_RECORDLINK=<div class="bibRecordLink">Persistent link to this
record: <a id="recordnum">
http://maurice.bgsu.edu%s</div>
This worked on Release 2006 and Release 2007
