We're on Release 2006 1.3, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced heading verification with extended information NOT working "as advertised" in Manual #105852 and #105691. Here's an example we encountered:

Your heading is:
650 0 Vocational guidance for women|zUnited States

4XX heading selected from the index is:
450 Vocational guidance for women

1XX heading from the index is:
150 Women|xVocational guidance

1XX heading selected from the index with your extended information is:
150 Women|zUnited States [WRONG???]

Based on the "Using Extended Information" sections of both Manual pages cited above, we would have expected that the CORRECT proposed 1XX heading would have been:

150 Women|xVocational guidance|zUnited States

This "buggy" behavior seems to happen ONLY with 4XX headings that have been replaced by LC with 1XX headings that include a subdivision. The heading verification seems to work OK where the replacement 1XX heading is a single word or phrase only.

Has anyone else experienced this same behavior, or is it only us? (I'm just trying to get an indication of the extent of the problem for reporting to III.) Thanks!

Harvey
