To reinforce, we've been WS_ftp'ing to/from our test server on 2007 most
of the year with no issues.  You need that custom port#, which I won't
speak the name of, but I think we all know it now. For some reason we
have to keep reminding one of vendors about this, they keep reverting to
the standard port #.  Be sure the firewall allow this custom port #.
And passive mode.

FTP problem solved!
To get your Dreamweaver connecting to your server, make sure you specify
port 1021 (in DW it looks like this: mylibdomain.edu:1021) and select
Passive FTP mode. I assume it applies to other FTP apps, too.
