The Technical Services Administrators of
Medium-Sized Research Libraries Interest Group will meet from 10:30
AM-12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Disney?s Paradise Pier, Room
Pacific C. Our discussion topic will focus on the 7 Measures of Success
as they apply to Technical Services. Small groups will consider each of
the 7 measures within their three guiding principles: 1) commitment to
purpose (a customer service culture and alignment with mission), 2)
commitment to analysis and feedback (data driven strategies and
engagement in dialog and ideas), and 3) commitment to action
(adaptability and alliance building), as we relate them to real life
examples from our work environments. 

 

We will also conduct elections for a new chair of the group. 



Several long-term members of the group's steering team have retired from
the team over the last few years. If you have a strong interest in
technical services issues and a desire to work with a group of people
committed to putting on programs and topics of interest to the technical
services community, let us know at the meeting of your interest in
joining the steering team.
