We are considering creating an internal wiki to store all of our III
polices procedures and training resources in one central location to
help make staff transitions easier. I am sure that other libraries are
using wikis for staff and would like to know what products are you using
and how do staff feel about the wiki? Off list replies are great and if
interest exists I will compile and post a report.
Thanks,
Andrea
We use MediaWiki (
http://www.mediawiki.org/) in house and also provide
it for those libraries in our consortium that want a wiki and host their
websites on our servers. At the moment it's installed on a couple of
servers running Fedora Core 6 and one running Fedora Core 7.
<note>
Fedora has proven quite stable for our servers. However, it is bleeding
edge and the upgrade cycle runs at a pretty quick pace. We're gradually
shifting to CentOS with it's longer cycle, it just hasn't reached all
the servers yet. Since CentOS is based on the Redhat code base which
is, in turn, based in large part on the Fedora code base, it should work
the same once it reaches those servers.

...hope that helps.
