This malfunctions for us no matter how many items. Of course it matters
a lot more when there are more. We discovered it when we did the 2006
upgrade and tried to go to the 1.5 client. It was big. With no idea
what to blame, we just did trial and error till we hit what works.
Other wise you'd have seen me in the AP photo, mysteriously floating
face down in the Willamette.

Try the old client and see if that works for you.

We've been having the same issue but haven't been told anything about
the 1.4.2 still working. Actually our primary issue is when we have
1000 items attached to a Bib and try to modify records within the group.
If there is a small set of records things work fine.
