http://www.hofstra.edu/library Title: Serials/Electronic Resources Librarian (tenure-track)Hofstra University seeks a self-motivated Serials/Electronic Resources Librarian to join the library faculty and work in a collegial environment that emphasizes service. The Serials/Electronic Resources Librarian will report to the Assistant Dean/Chair for Technical Services.Responsibilities:Manage and provide access to serials publications and electronic resources, including the acquisition, maintenance, renewal, and cancellation of serials subscriptions in print and electronic formatOversee day-to-day operations of the Serials Department of 3 staff membersServe as primary liaison with subscription vendor and publishersMaintain the library?s electronic resources management systems, Serials Solutions and Ebsco Electronic Journal ServiceMonitor serials budget and authorize expenditures for serialsPosition Requirements:ALA-accredited MLS degree requiredExperience in an academic library serials department preferredExperience with serial software modules in an integrated library system, preferably Innovative InterfacesExperience working with vendors and publishersAdditional graduate degree is preferred and required for an initial appointment at the Assistant Professor rank Hofstra University is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering diversity in its faculty, administrative staff and student body, and encourages applications from the entire spectrum of a diverse community.
