While creating a link within each item row requires Javascript, it might
be overkill for what you're after. If you just want to provide a link to
a list of Status descriptions, you can do that fairly easily within your
webpub.def file. Just insert the link next to your Availability label in
the appropriate line. Something like:

i|%|||Availability&nbsp;(<a
href="/screens/status_descriptions.html">What's this?</a>)|40|
