During the beta test we found that with mil14? (probably mil142_08)
some buttons on the screen did not work. Thus, we made sure that all
clients were on at least mil15* or higher. That change was a high
priority although most users did not notice a problem. It was, as might
be expected, new functions that did not work
We have moved to mil160_02 in most all cases. There might be some mil15*
around. But, bottom line there has not been a sense of urgency. The
clients should work after the upgrade. I would plan on moving them to
mil160*.
We put a copy of the most recent version (mil160-02 now) on a thumbdrive
and use it to install on the clients. (Faster than doing a download
again, especially during heavy internet traffic.) If there is a problem
on the client with some aspect of Millenniuim then we reinstall milup
from the thumbdrive and test again.
Do respond directly: mil150_12 should be fine and upgrade on a rolling
basis should be ok.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for responding.
That's good to know about your situation. And again, just to clarify,
once we upgrade our server to 2007, I have to load the Millennium
staff client (milup160_02.exe + JRE 1.6.0_02) on all the staff PCs --
i.e., if their staff workstation has 2006 (milup150_12.exe file + JRE
1.5.0_12)? Or will they still be able to work on the old client
(milup150_12.exe) until I can upgrade (I'm guessing it's okay per
http://csdirect.iii.com/downloads/milclient.shtml)? I'm just trying to
plan out how we upgrade the server and then upgrade the staff
machines, i.e., do it all on one day or if I am able to do it on a
rolling basis.
Thanks,
Alison

We run our clients on XP with anything from 256M and up. The 256's are a
bit slow but not too bad if it only doing circulation.
For Milcat, Milacq you should be ok with 1G. Of course, more is better.
