- Subject: [IUG] Google Analytics - Placement of script, warnings or drawbacks?
At IUG, I attended the Google Analytics session. It appeared something very easy to do so I went ahead and set up this on our library.alliant.edu pages today. I put the script in the bottom logo as instructed in the presentation. The instructions for Google Analytics call for the script to appear before </body> and the botlogo token appears right before the </body>. However by reading the IUG archives, I found out that at least one person put the script in the toplogo and one put it someplace else I think. I viewed the source and it didn't seem like it was in the top or the bot logos. Is there a good reason for the script not to be in the botlogo? -
For those of you using Google Analytics, are there any warnings or drawbacks?
Thank you,
Heather Parker
