We experienced this about two weeks ago. I contacted Springer; they assured me that the green squares should be visible to our users and wanted a screen shot to see what our Springer page looked like.

It wasn't until a week later that another library contacted them with the same complaint about the green squares. That was the time they decided to look further into our complaint.

Regards.

Hi all -

Just in case you experience this mystery, too. Stop reading if you don't subscribe to any journals on the MetaPress platform (including Springer journals).

About two weeks ago, we noticed that we were not seeing the "green dots" that indicate access rights on MetaPress and SpringerLink. Turns out one does see them if using an unproxied link but they vanish when using a proxied one. Hmm. Seems unimportant but sometimes it is the only clue as to what issues / volumes we are supposed to have access to.

Talked with MetaPress and they reported it was a known issue with EZProxy and thus, also for us. They are working with EZProxy on a fix and I have just opened a call with III, as well. You might want to check to see if you are having the same issue and open a call, just so you can know when the issue is resolved.
