The only problem with putting an HTML form in a web page is that you
are outside the CMS as soon as a search is executed. If you want to
stay in the CMS, a low tech approach would be to create a scope with
no header, footer, or the regular graphics. Then just call the search
page for this scope using an <iframe> from the CMS.
