I can't say I have a better handle on the browse display, but looking at
the preliminary enhancements for 2007
http://csdirect.iii.com/csd/release_notes/enhlist/Rls2007_Prelim_Enhlist
.php), one of the WebOPAC enhancements is "A new token for the indexed
title will be available for use in brief citation."
I don't know if this means that *every* field in the record that is
indexed as a title gets displayed under the new token, or if a choice
will have to be made, or if the token will be formatted like the
{fieldspec...} tokens to allow some flexibility. No further information
about the enhancement is given. You might contact the helpdesk and see
if they're willing to elaborate (or see if a 2007 beta library can
explain it). The enhancement does look promising, though.
