The CLAMS library network moved from Item-level to Priority Paging in March, 2007, and it is definitely an improvement. We found Susan Saul's training material to be very helpful for our transition. We use random paging, but we still use the Paging Priority table that's set up for each pickup location (I'm not sure if it's really an option); all locations are just assigned the same priority. And if one or more locations is closed for a period of time, we can change the priority to keep them from being paged.

Subject: [IUG] Title-Level Paging

Soon we will be moving from item level paging to title-priority paging.
Any words of wisdom that you'd like to share, caution us about? Also,
for those of you that have multiple branches did you choose to setup the
Paging Priority table or let the system hold the paging randomly?
