Try screening all clients for malware with something like ad-aware, which is
available for free over the net. In my experience this can help considerably
and it is easy to do. Things like "data miners" seem to propogate over time
and can really waste system time until things like the movements of mice
become noticable

We have experienced simular issues. I have swapped out the USB mice with
older P\S2 style. That seemed to help with the erratic mouse movements,
but the freeze ups are still an issue. I have been focusing my time to
solve that on networking. Where it is the biggest problem, the branch is
in rural northern Minnesota. (ie. old data comm lines)
