Job Summary: Manages and oversees the library’s Innovative Interfaces, Inc. integrated library automation system, public Internet computers, and other technologies; responsible for the overall goal setting, planning, development and implementation of technology services for the library to ensure maximum support of public services and staff functions; responsible for system upgrades and enhancements and is the point person for issues and problems; serves as liaison with hardware and software vendors; oversees maintenance of system hardware and software; partners with City IT on networking, hardware and software; reports directly to the Library Director; is a member of the library’s management team; oversees and maintains the library’s section of the City web page; coordinates staff IT training; troubleshoots computer problems for users; works at the Reference Desk and is responsible for collection development in specific subject areas.

Systems Librarian/Head of Library Systems (Keene State College)

The Mason Library of Keene State College is seeking a Systems Librarian/Head of Library Systems. In addition to supporting the Library’s mission and day-to-day library operations, this position is responsible for managing the information technology resources of the Library to maximize their positive support of teaching, learning and scholarship for students, faculty and staff of the College.

Under the administrative review of the Director of the Library and in collaboration with the Heads of Technical Services, Access Services, and Public Services, this position has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the services, policies and procedures of the Library Systems Office. This position supervises and evaluates employees; evaluates and implements new technological services; serves as liaison to IT and outside vendors; participates at the department head level in the library; and collaborates with the local public library with whom the Library shares the Innovative Interfaces Inc.’s ILS; in addition to collaborating with other outside constituencies (college webmaster, USNH, NHCUC, etc.) on a regular basis. The Library Systems Office designs and provides library staff development training.

The University of New Hampshire Library Dean Search Committee would like to ask for your help. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to inspire and support our faculty and staff, help us maintain and enhance resources and services for our users, and work with us to create and implement a renewed vision for our library services.

The UNH Library (http://www.library.unh.edu/) is in a stimulating phase with the creation of an academic commons and cafe, branch library renovations, digital collections projects, and fundraising opportunities as the University plans its next capital campaign. We seek a knowledgeable and effective leader to guide faculty and staff through the next stages of these and other endeavors while further developing the financial resources needed to best serve our constituencies.

We are looking for a librarian who understands the needs of a diverse community and is able to work with academic peers to align the Library’s strategic plan with that of the University’s Academic Plan, while expanding the Library’s established position as an essential partner in teaching, learning, research, and service.

Head of Reference and Instructional Services
The Geisel Library of Saint Anselm College is accepting applications for the position of Head of Reference and Instructional Services. Saint Anselm is a Catholic liberal arts college founded by the Order of Saint Benedict in 1889. Located in Manchester, New Hampshire the college enrolls nearly two thousand students at a scenic residential campus. The Geisel Library itself contains over 240,000 volumes and subscribes to nearly one hundred online databases. The Reference Department supports a vibrant and comprehensive information literacy program which is integrated with new student orientation, Freshmen composition, and advanced courses across the curriculum. The Department is also heavily involved with College-wide assessment efforts in preparation for its NEASC visitation in 2009. It also staffs a busy reference desk and fields online reference questions from faculty staff and students. In addition, Reference librarians also serve as liaisons to different academic departments depending on individual subject expertise. Dean of the University Library (University of New Hampshire)

The University of New Hampshire http://www.unh.edu/ invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the University Library. The University actively creates and nurtures a dynamic learning environment in which qualified individuals of differing perspectives, life experiences and cultural backgrounds pursue goals

The Dean: The Dean is the senior administrative and financial officer of
the University Library, reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice
President and is a member of the Deans’ Council. Responsibilities
include the direction, development, implementation and evaluation of all
aspects of library services. The Dean oversees 20 librarians with
faculty status, 59 staff, and an effective budget of over $10 million
including a $5 million materials budget. The Dean provides leadership in
library and information technology, working closely with the
University’s Chief Information Officer, and collaborates in fundraising
