Milligan College, a Christian liberal arts college in eastern Tennessee, is looking for a creative and customer-focused individual to bring new energy and professional competence to the position of Public Services Librarian.
The successful candidate will manage the relational and technical aspects of Circulation and Patron Services; supervise student workers, motivating them to excellence in customer service; and put creativity and initiative to work to design events and outreach opportunities that promote the Library as a primary destination for the Milligan College learning community.
Qualifications: ALA accredited Master’s degree; prior academic library experience a definite asset. We are looking for a candidate with a strong customer service orientation, excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to library best practices. As a member of the faculty, the successful candidate must demonstrate Christian faith, commitment to the College mission, and a lifestyle consistent with the College’s goals. Salary: Commensurate with education and experience. This is a 12-month (non-tenure) administrative faculty position with paid vacation, and other generous benefits.
