DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This entry level faculty position is an opportunity for a knowledgeable and energetic librarian with a strong technical background and commitment to service to participate in the development, installation, operation, and maintenance of Randall Library’s highly integrated computing resources and services;participate in library reference services; plan and implement new technologies to support the Library’s mission; and serve on library and university committees.
REQUIREMENTS: MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited program, preferably with 1 or more years of applicable experience working with applications associated with library systems and/or information technology in an academic library. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge and understanding of web site technologies, including web management software, and graphics programs. Experience with Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with library-related software. Knowledge of bibliographic record structures and metadata standards.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary $41,500 or commensurate with the labor market for this position. Eleven-month contract with faculty status (lecturer, non-tenure track).
