Oregon Institute of Technology seeks an energetic, creative, service-oriented librarian who will provide and market information services to OIT students, faculty, and staff at the Portland campuses located in Clackamas and Beaverton, including students and faculty of Clackamas Community College and Eastern Oregon University who sharefacilities. This is a 12 month, 1.0 FTE position with benefits.
This position is responsible for library instruction programs and outreach activities at the Portland campuses. The Portland librarian manages a small print collection and has access to an array of electronic resources and services via the main library in Klamath Falls.

This position is responsible for integrating these resources and services into a non-traditional learning environment. The librarian also provides desk reference and research consultation for students and faculty. Evening hours are required.

Requirements:

Master’s degree from an ALA accredited library school; understanding of reference strategies and tools, both print and electronic; strong computer skills; the ability to work independently and to developeffective working relationships with others; initiative, flexibility and the ability to facilitate change; and excellent communication skills.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in academic or special libraries and instruction. Experience in outreach and library management desired. Experience with Innovative Interfaces also desired.
