The State of Oregon Library is recruiting to fill the fulltime position of Information Systems Coordinator, assigned to the Government Research and Electronic Services (GRES) Team. This position is located in Salem, Oregon.

The Information Systems Coordinator should be an innovative person interested in collaborative leadership. This person coordinates and participates in the work of the Library’s Automated Systems Unit (ASU), which develops, operates, maintains, and supports all the systems and telecommunications activities of the State Library. Current projects include:
. continued development and support for an online digital object management system for state publications,

. continued development and support for an open-source content management system for library websites, and

. development of systems for managing and providing access to online services for library users.

Key duties include:

. programming and development of systems to support web-based services for library users;

. coordinating system administration for all Library servers and networks;

. developing, maintaining, and supporting database-driven tools for managing library systems needs;

. planning systems architecture and network connections;

. troubleshooting library systems and implementing appropriate solutions as needed;

. coordinating the overall work of the Automated Systems Unit to ensure clear, consistent technology practices;

. providing user support for State Library staff and state government users of library services;

. investigating, recommending, and planning implementation of new or revised technologies; and

. communicating regularly with all library staff about key systems issues.
