Assistant Dean, Library Services (Menlo College)

Position: Reporting to the Dean, Library Services, the Assistant Dean, Library Services is responsible for: 1) implementing new information technologies that enhance services to library staff and users; 2) supporting library hardware, software, and telecommunications; 3) managing of Bowman Library programs providing both physical and intellectual access to the Library’s print and non-print collections; and 4) acting as principal administrator in the absence of the Dean, Library Services.
The Assistant Dean, Library Services will also:
* Assist with the WASC reaffirmation of accreditation process
* Serve as the library’s primary staff training resource in the technical services arena
* Coordinate academic support services (assistive technology and tutoring efforts, including the Writing lab)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* ALA accredited MLS
* 3-5 years relevant electronic resources and systems experience in an academic library setting, including experience with III ILS, preferably Millenium
* 2-4 years cataloging experience, including a working knowledge of LC classification system
* significant, substantial experience managing all aspects of an ILS
