Circulation Librarian
The Outagamie Waupaca Library System (OWLS) seeks a full-time professional librarian to serve as primary circulation support for the OWLSnet automation network and to assist in administering the Innovative Interfaces computer system.
The Circulation Librarian works with the staff at OWLSnet member libraries to provide training and support on circulation-related tasks, including responding to user inquiries and working with the automation vendor to troubleshoot and solve problems. Additionally, the Circulation Librarian is actively involved in administering OWLSnet policies and procedures. Travel within 150 miles of Appleton, WI is required.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, have good communication skills and be comfortable training in a one-on-one or small group environment. The individual selected will be comfortable with technology and experienced with computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows XP. Preference may be given to individuals with library staff experience using an Innovative Interfaces integrated library system, experience planning or providing adult education or training, or experience providing customer service.
A master’s degree in library science, a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, and a vehicle are required. The starting wage is $16.97 per hour for this 40 hour per week position. Comprehensive benefit package is provided, including paid health, vacation and retirement. Travel reimbursement is also provided.
