The UCSF Library and Center for Knowledge Management seeks applications fromqualified individuals for the position of Innopac & Applications Coordinator, classified as a Programmer/Analyst I.
This position serves two functions. The incumbent provides systems administration support for the Library’s Innovative Interfaces Integrated Library System, including Millennium products for WebOpac, circulation, acquisitions, serials, cataloging and interlibrary-loan; the incumbent also supports staff desktop applications, including - but not limited to - inter-library lending and borrowing applications, FileMaker Pro, Track-It call tracking system, email, online calendars, EndNote and authoring tools;

the incumbent helps select software, tracks software purchases, installs software and assists staff with software use and troubleshooting; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience administering an integrated library system; ability to manage library system-related projects and coordinate project activities with vendor (e.g., Innovative Interfaces Inc.) and user groups; experience exchanging data between systems and sites via FTP and web interfaces; experience installing, configuring, and using desktop applications; demonstrated proficiency in technical problem-solving; demonstrated

proficiency in detailed record-keeping and reporting; excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Two or more years experience as an Innovative Interfaces (Millennium/Innopac) system administrator, including modifying system web pages and databases, and performing system upgrades; experience writing simple shell and expect scripts in an Unix environment; two or more years of experience supporting desktop applications software in a library environment such as VDX and Connexion; experience designing, implementing and supporting FileMaker Pro database and applications; ability to train users in use of 3rd party and internally-developed applications.
Compensation

Classified as a Programmer/Analyst I, $4,175 - $6,883 per month, full time rate. Starting salary usually in the lower end of the range depending on experience and qualifications. This is a career position with an excellent package of health, vacation, and retirement benefits.
