Short Description: Texas Tech University School of Law Library is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director for Technical and Collection Services Librarian.
Responsibilities: Manages and coordinates all aspects of the Law Library’s collection development and technical services functions; manages, hires, supervises and evaluates staff of five plus various student employees; participates in reference, instruction, and other library functions.
Required Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS degree; minimum of three years work experience in a library’s cataloging area or related field; substantial knowledge of cataloging and classification policies, practice and tools; familiarity with bibliographic utilities (e.g. OCLC), databases and media products, knowledge of traditional legal bibliographic as well as electronic legal information resources.
Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in a law library or academic library.
