SERIALS LIBRARIAN (Ohio Wesleyan University)

Ohio Wesleyan University seeks an individual interested in managing all
aspects of the Serials Department in Technical Services of the Library.
Reports to the Head of Technical Services. The major responsibilities of the
position include acquiring, cataloging (original/copy cataloging),
processing, and fiscal accounting for serials in all formats, including
electronic journals. Manages ongoing daily periodicals operations such as
maintenance of the automated serials system records, subscription renewals,
new orders, cancellations, invoices, claims and all related correspondence.
Responsible for the binding of serials publications, communicates with the
serials agent and vendors, updates the Union List, and supervises work-study
students. Deals with collection development issues for serials. Participates
as a member of the Technical Services staff. Serves as library liaison to
academic department(s), participates in the reference rotation schedule four
hours per week including weekends when school is in session and attends
professional conferences and meetings related to serials.

Folsom Lake College incorporates the newest technologies for classroom instruction, as well as provides opportunity for faculty to offer courses in a variety of distance education formats.  The college also features an Innovation Center, which offers training for faculty and staff, as well as assistance to faculty in course development.

Primary Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Dean of Instruction and Technology and with the collaboration of the other librarians, the Public Access Services Librarian shall coordinate the services of circulation, interlibrary loan, and reserves (print and electronic).  The Public Access Services Librarian shall also provide reference, information and instruction services to students, faculty and staff; select materials in subject areas for print and electronic collections; maintain up-to-date instruction materials for library resources; assist in expanding and promoting services to strengthen library support of distance education students and faculty; and provide library instruction in a variety of settings and formats that may include library credit courses.

Assistant Dean for Digital Futures and Technical Services (Washington State University Libraries, Pullman, Washington)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Dean for Digital Futures and Technical Services is responsible for providing vision and leadership that both reflects current needs and anticipates future trends in the evolving library and information environment.  This position handles oversight for the functional areas of collections, acquisitions, cataloging, preservation, serials, electronic resources, and systems.  The Assistant Dean will support collaboration across the units of the Pullman libraries and with
WSU sites around the state in consonance with the Libraries’ Strategic Plan and WSU’s land-grant institution status.  The Assistant Dean will actively participate in the expansion and maintenance of the WSU Libraries’ digital initiatives, including fundraising and long-term planning.  The Assistant Dean promotes a working environment in which
all employees are supported in developing their skills so that they can
contribute to the maximum of their ability, and facilitates the WSU Libraries’ efforts in building an open, collaborative organization.

This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Dean of Libraries.

MORE Application Support Specialist (Indianhead Federated Library System, Wisconsin)

The Indianhead Federated Library System (IFLS) http://www.ifls.lib.wi.us is seeking candidates for the position of MORE Application Support Specialist.  MORE http://www.more.lib.wi.us is a consortium of over 40 public libraries in West-Central Wisconsin.  The position is part of a team responsible for ensuring the integrity of the MORE database and providing support to member libraries in the operation of the MORE system.
