The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Sampson-Livermore Library has open its Government Documents/Development Librarian position. This is a tenure-track position at one of the premier information resource centers in
Southeastern North Carolina. UNC Pembroke is one of the 16 constituent institutions on the University of North Carolina system.

Job Duties: Managing the receipt, processing, and utilization of federal and state government information; developing grant proposals and pursuing other funding opportunities for purposes of expanding and improving the Library’s collections, equipment, and physical plant resources; pursuing Friends of the Library endeavors; supervising one support staff person and one or more
student assistants; and participating in collection development and reference team efforts as assigned. Some evening/weekend hours will be included.

Required: ALA-accredited master’s degree.

Desired: Recent successful experience involving government publications,
grant proposals, interaction with financial donors, and reference assistance
in an electronic academic library environment, supervisory experience.

Status: Position available July 1st and will remain open until filled.

Salary: $45,000 per annum.
